As I am typing I can feel Weng Weng kicking in me. Indeed, her kicks have evolved from little flutters to stronger spasms. It is a constant reminder that there is a living being in me and I have to be more mindful of what I eat.
My weight has increased 2kg since the last checkup with Dr Chan, thanks to my love-hate relationship with tempura don and french fries. I am now 66 kilos (still 2kilos behind my pre-pregnancy weight of 68 kilos) and ballooning real fast. With all the Christmas feasting around the corner, I fear that by the time my next checkup arrives, I would have gained yet another kilo. Shudder.
My baby bump has yet to fully protrude out (which explains why people are still not giving up their seats in the train to me) but is definitely growing bigger by the day. The extra weight is starting to take a toll on my lower back, which aches particularly bad at night. I bought an egg shaped cushion from Muji yesterday to support my back when I watch TV or sit down. It seems to work better than the one I bought from Mothercare last week.
Last week was also the first time I woke up with cramps on my left knee. Thank goodness it only happened once.
Hubby claims I have become more sotong. I definitely find myself forgetting things more easily (I forgot to pay 3 credit bills this month and have to call in for waiver of late payment charges) days but don't think it's THAT bad.
Really looking forward to a nice break this week and next. I'm on block leave so I hope to spend more time house cleaning, running errands and (hopefully) resting.
It is nice to wake up everyday with the smug realization that I do not have to work. =)
