It has been an exciting 5 months. My body has changed, my appetite has changed, my outlook towards life has changed. What next?
This week, we cancelled our cruise holiday in end Dec. After reading the terms and conditions accompanying our ticket, it was apparent that women entering their 6th month of pregnancy are prohibited from entering the ship.
Looks like my 30th birthday will be spent in Singapore. Tsk.
Weng weng's kicks have evolved from the sensation of little jumping beans in my tummy to slight spasms. Her movements are more frequent after I eat. Can't wait to see her during the detailed scan at TMC tomorrow.
Hubby and I visited Universal Studios yesterday with my aunt. I haven't walked so much ever since I got pregnant. We walked from 8am to 3pm, only stopping for the occasional snack and show. The weather was highly erratic- scorching hot one moment and pouring the next. Thank goodness we managed to miraculously find cover.
The highlight of the outing yesterday was eating Goldilocks fried chicken. Goldilocks is a fast food outlet similar to KFC and Popeyes. There's only one outlet in Singapore (Universal Studios) so it seems unlikely that I will eating this chicken in a looong looong time. The chicken skin was crisp (but not overly oily) and the meat was succulent and flavourful. Even the mash potatoes tasted yummy.
Not all restaurants are good though. The milkshakes, chili and hotdogs at Mel's Diners. are substandard. Avoid at all costs.
Soon it will be time to start re-organising the house to prepare for Weng Weng's arrival. We still need to get a stroller (probably Bugaboo), cot and cupboards (probably from Ikea) to store the growing pile of baby stuff we have been receiving.
I bought a very cutesy striped pink dress for Weng Weng today from ASOS (free shipping!)
Its meant for kiddos from 3-6 months old so hopefully Weng Weng grows faster! Isn't it sweet?I also bought some maternity clothes for myself.
Weight gain is started to plague me. I've put on 1.5 kilos in the past month. Scary. At this rate, I'm going to be fat! Thank goodness I have switched to elastic pants and skirts.
